I. What the HCIC-310 Is

The light-duty scissor hoist for dump trucks are a scissor-type power hoist. It lifts the dump body on light and medium commercial vehicles — dump trucks, garbage trucks, modified chassis. It is not a telescopic ram. It is an amplifying frame: a steel scissor linkage that multiplies the cylinder stroke into a tall, stable lifting arc.

We call it a power hoist because it is a complete lifting assembly, not a bare cylinder. You get the frame, the pivot pins, the bushings, the cross beam, and the hydraulic cylinder, built as one unit. Bolt it to the chassis, plumb the hoses, and it works.

The 310 is the entry model in our American power hoist line. It has been in steady production for years and ships continuously to North America.

The 24-inch cross beam is made of thick round steel with an anti-rust coating. It is the top load bar — the part that takes the weight of the dump body at full tilt.

The arm range tells you the dump angle. Extended at 26.63 inches, retracted at 19.63 inches, the 310 gives a proper unloading tilt without over-stressing the frame. That 7-inch working arm travel is the difference between a clean dump and a bent chassis.

III. How It Lifts — The Scissor Physics

A scissor hoist is a set of crossed arms. One end is pinned to the chassis, the other slides or pivots under the body. The hydraulic cylinder pushes the arms apart. As the arms open, the top beam rises — and because the arms are crossed, the load stays centered over the frame instead of hanging off one side.

That centered load path is the whole point. A telescopic ram pushes in one line, and if the load shifts, the body twists. A scissor keeps the body level through the first degrees of the arc, where most rollovers happen.

The 310's frame is a single integrated welded structure in high-strength alloy steel. No bolted-together segments. One piece of steel doing one job.

4.1 Frame and Welding

Why robotic welding matters: the amplifying frame takes its hardest load at the moment of breakout — when the cylinder first cracks the load loose. That is when seams either hold or let go. A robot lays the same bead every time. Manual welding varies with the welder, the weather, and the hour of the day.

4.2 Pivot Joints

The induction-hardened pins resist the lateral shear that develops when a truck dumps on uneven ground. The oversized bushings spread the load over more surface, so the joint wears slowly instead of egging out. The grease zerks are placed where a hand can reach them — if a zerk is buried under the frame, nobody greases it, and the joint dies.

VI. What It Is Not

Be straight about the limits. The 310 is for light and medium duty. If you haul wet clay in a tandem-axle 14-yard body, you need a bigger frame — the 520, 620, or 630 in our line. Picking the 310 for a job it cannot do ends with a bent frame and a claim nobody pays.

What size truck does the 310 fit?
Light and medium commercial vehicles. Check the base length (28.50") and mounting width (24.00") against your chassis rails. If your frame is wider or the body is heavy, move up the line.
Does the 310 include the cylinder?
Yes. It ships as a complete hoist — frame, pins, bushings, cross beam, and cylinder. You supply the hoses and the power unit, or we supply those too.
Can I bolt it to a truck with an irregular chassis?
Usually, with minor custom work. We adjust mounting hole positions and base size to your frame. Send us the drawing.
What oil and power unit do I need?
A standard 12V or 24V DC power unit with 16‑20 MPa pressure handles the 310. We match the power unit to the hoist when you order both.
How often should I grease it?
At 10+ cycles a day, once a week. Every joint has a reachable zerk. Cheap insurance, five minutes with a grease gun.
What is the lead time?
Standard 310 units: 5‑7 working days. Custom configurations: 10‑15 working days. Sea freight to North America: 16‑22 days.
