HCIC Expands Its Dump Trailer Hydraulic Solutions for OEM Buyers




HCIC has expanded the dump-trailer section of its online product portfolio with two clearly defined lifting options: an underbody telescopic hydraulic cylinder and a scissor hoist for dump-trailer lifting systems.

The update gives OEM buyers a more useful starting point. Instead of looking at a cylinder as a stand-alone part, they can first compare the lifting layout they need: a telescopic cylinder installed beneath the body, or a scissor mechanism that works with a hydraulic cylinder, frame and pivot structure.

I. Two Different Ways to Lift a Dump Trailer

1.1 Underbody telescopic hydraulic cylinder

For a buyer, the important point is fitment. Stroke alone does not decide whether a telescopic hydraulic cylinder will work. The frame, hinge position, cradle, connection style, tipping angle, pump flow and load distribution all need to be checked together.

1.2 Scissor hoist for dump trailer lifting systems

The second option uses scissor geometry to convert cylinder movement into a controlled lift of the dump body. This approach can be useful when the trailer frame needs a compact lifting arrangement with defined pivot points and supporting structure.

The scissor hoist is not selected by bore alone. The trailer body weight, hinge position, pivot geometry, available frame space and desired dump angle affect the actual lifting requirement. That is why a drawing or measured installation area is valuable at the quotation stage.

II. Why This Portfolio Update Matters

Dump-trailer buyers often begin with a simple request: “We need a hydraulic cylinder.” The real engineering question is usually broader. Does the trailer need a telescopic cylinder, a scissor hoist, a matched power unit, or a complete lifting package?

By presenting these options together, HCIC makes the first discussion more practical. An OEM can describe the trailer layout and lifting target before locking into a part number. A replacement buyer can send photos, mounting measurements and the old cylinder details for a fitment review.
